•Recology "shall give hiring preference to any Garbage, Recyclables, or Compostables collection workers who serviced City routes for the previous contracted hauler…and were displaced as a result of the City awarding this Contract."
•"Upon hiring a displaced collection worker represented by Teamsters Local 117 or 174, the Contractor shall be required to keep the displaced worker whole regarding the workers’ pay and benefit accrual rates earned as of the date of displacement."
•"The Contractor must reimburse any displaced worker for any required COBRA payment to retain health care coverage during the time between displacement and when the worker would become eligible for such benefits under the collective bargaining agreement."
•"At least one hundred twenty (120) calendar days before the Date of Commencement of Service [April 1, 2027], the Contractor shall allow collection workers who serviced City routes for the previous contracted hauler to apply for collection worker positions under this Contract through the Contractor’s website and shall notify the applicable Teamsters local of the opportunity so that the Teamsters local can publicize it to their members."
