I arrived at approximately 1531 hours. UNIT 1: DODGE CARAVAN Upon arrival I observed a white Dodge Caravan (WA/CSG1441, Unit 1) stopped in the number two southbound lane of Rainier Avenue S. Unit 1 was completely within the lane.The front passenger bumper was engaged with the rear driver bumper of Unit 2. Unit 1 had not been moved from its point of rest prior to my arrival. UNIT 2: CHEVROLET EQUINOX I observed a black Chevrolet Equinox (WA/D27922J, Unit 2) stopped facing southeast mostly in the southbound number two lane. Unit 2's rear end was partially in the number one lane. Unit 2 had not been moved from its point of rest prior to my arrival. DRIVER 1: CHANG FENG-LEE I contacted Feng-Lee Chang(DOB: 11/03/1956,verified by WDL) near Unit 1. Chang was not injured in the collision. I established Chang as the driver and sole occupant of Unit 1 by his admission. DRIVER 2: ROBINSON,JERRY L. This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State. !declare underpenalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. Robinson (DOB: 11/27/1957,verified by WDL) near Unit 2. Robinson was not injured in the collision. I established Robinson as the driver of Unit 2 by his admission. PASSENGER Carolyn J. Robinson (DOB: 08/11/1966)was the uninjured front passenger in Unit 2. STATEMENT: ROBINSON,JERRY L. I spoke with Robinson about the collision.The following is a summary of our conversation: Robinson drove Unit 2 south in the southbound number one lane of Rainier Avenue S in the 600 block. Robinson merged Unit 2 into the number two lane but couldn't pull completely into the Lane because of stopped traffic ahead. Unit 1 approached from the north in the southbound number two lane. Unit 1's front passenger bumper collided with Unit 2's rear driver bumper. Robinson said he had already merged and come to a complete stop a significant amount of time before Unit 1 collided with Unit 2. This concluded my conversation with Robinson. STATEMENT: CHANG, FENG-LEE I spoke with Chang about the collision. The following is a summary of our conversation: Chang drove Unit 1 south in the southbound number two lane of Rainier Avenue S in the 600 block. Unit 2 quickly merged from lane one into lane two, not giving Chang enough time to react This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State. !declare underpenalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. This concluded my conversation with Chang. PROXIMATE CAUSE Chang and Robinson had conflicting accounts of the collision. I was unable to determine a proximate cause of the collision. DISPOSITION I photographed both vehicles. Both drivers exchanged information. This concluded my involvement in this case.
