Renton Case#26-1620
On 02/27/2026 at 1621 hours I was dispatched to Car Trends Auto Sales, located at 410 Sunset BLVD N, in the
City of Renton, King County,Washington. I was responding to a call of recent non-injury,two car motor vehicle
accident.This incident was captured on my bodyworn video camera.This report is a summation of events
that occurred and is not an exact sequence of events.
Upon arrival, I contacted both Unit 1 and Unit 2 vehicles/drivers in the above referenced parking lot.
Unit 1 vehicle was identified as a white 1999 Chevrolet Suburban (WA LIC#BVA6560), being driven by the
registered owner, identified via his WA DOL photo as Richard J Krantz(DOB 07/08/1953).
Unit 2 vehicle was identified as a black 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC (WA LIC#CPP9933), being driver by the
registered owner, identified via his WA DL as Dominique J Barnes(DOB 08/23/1989).
Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 drivers stated they were uninjured.
In speaking with Unit 2 driver, he stated that while parked in a parking stall, Unit 1 vehicle pulled in next to
him and in the process, made unintentional contact with the passenger side of his vehicle. Unit 2 driver
pointed out several scrapes on the rear passenger side of his vehicle.
In speaking with Unit 1 driver, he stated that he pulled into a parking stall next to Unit 2 vehicle.As Unit 1
driver noticed his vehicle was crooked, he back up slightly to readjust and in the process, made contact
with the passenger side of Unit 2 vehicle. Several small scrape marks were observed on the driver side of
Unit 1 vehicle,just above the rear wheel.
I took photographs of each vehicle and the sustained vehicle damage, and later uploaded all photos to
Axon Evidence.All observed damage was consistent with the version of events and described by each
driver.
I provided Unit 1 and Unit 2 drivers with a business card, case number and answered their remaining
questions.
I then cleared the scene.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
