NARRATIVE
On 03/06/2026 at approximately 2145 hours, I was working as a Police Officer for the City of Renton,
King County, Washington. While working I was dispatched to an injury accident involving a vehicle
and pedestrian at 243 Vashon Ave SE, located in the City of Renton, King County, Washington.
The notes of the call stated that a vehicle struck a pedestrian, the pedestrian was conscious but was
struggling to stand up.
I arrived on scene and located the parties:
Unit 1: black 2018 Tesla Model X (WA LIC: CDW9842) Driver: Alisha T. Luu (DOB: 02/12/2007)
Unit 2: Brian V. Rebrik (DOB: 10/26/2005)
The accident actually occurred at the intersection of Vashon Ave SE and SE 1 st PL. Unit 1 was
parked in the middle of the intersection with their hazards on. Unit 2 was laying on the sidewalk at the
southern part of the intersection. Unit 1 reported that she was driving northbound in the 200 block of
Vashon Ave SE at approximately 30mph, she made a left turn from Vashon Ave SE onto SE 1 st PL.
While making the turn Unit 1 observed Unit 2 walking northbound on Vashon Ave SE, crossing SE 1 st
PL to continue northbound on Vashon Ave SE in an unmarked crosswalk. Unit 1 stated that she did
not see Unit 2 until it was too late. Unit 1 attempted to brake but struck Unit 2 with the passenger side
of her front bumper, knocking Unit 2 to the ground. Unit 1 reported that she did not run Unit 2 over
with the vehicle and only bumped him. Unit 1 did not have any damage and had no injuries.
Unit 2 reported a similar story, noting that he was walking northbound in the 200 block of Vashon Ave
SE, he began to cross the street northbound at SE 1 st PL in an unmarked crosswalk. While crossing
the roadway he was struck by Unit 1 while in the unmarked crosswalk by the front bumper of the
vehicle. Unit 2 was knocked to the ground and landed on his back. Unit 2 reported that his chest hurt
but had no further injuries. Unit 2 had no visible injuries and was transported to Valley Medical Center
by Renton Fire Authority.
It should be noted that it was dark and raining, with one street light illuminating a portion of the
roadway. Unit 2 was carrying a black umbrella and wearing a black rain jacket and dark pants at the
time of the collision so he was not easily visible. At the same time both Units reported that Unit 1 was
struck in the middle of an unmarked pedestrian crossing.
There is no further information at this time.
