Narrative
The following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
On 03/08/2026 at about 0416 hours I was dispatched to the 400 block of S 43rd St for a report of a Hit and Run
Collision.
I contacted the driver of U-2 who identified himself with his WADL as Rafael Escalona La Cruz. Rafael stated
via an interpreter that he was eastbound in the#2 lane of S 43rd St when a dark blue smaller sedan tried
passing him in the#3 lane. As the vehicle went to move in front of him it struck the left front corner of his
company van with the right rear corner of the vehicle. The vehicle then fled without providing any
information. Rafael was unable to get the license plate.
This incident was captured on my Axon body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
Nothing further at this time.
