Description of Change: This Change addresses additional work performed to identify and resolve conflicts between the proposed improvements and unforeseen field conditions. This work includes wall modifications, removing various concrete foundations for signs and old light pole bases, and excavating around live wire to install various improvements. a. Description: Special Provisions 2-02.1 is supplemented with the following: The Contractor shall identify and resolve conflicts between the proposed improvements as shown in the Plans and revised by the Engineer, and unexpected existing obstructions which were not identified in the Plans or were not identified in the table in SP 2-02.1. ii. Materials: No Change. iii. Construction Requirements: No change. iv. Measurement: Section 2-02.4 is supplemented with the following: No unit of measurement shall apply to the force account item “Resolution of Conflicts with Roadway Sections.” v. Payment: Section 2-02.5 is supplemented with the following: “Resolution of Conflicts with Roadway Sections,” force account. c. Plans: No change. Reason for Change: To address ongoing conflicts between proposed improvements and existing unforeseen conditions. There is no bid item to address this work. As no current bid item addresses this work, this Change Order creates a new pay item to compensate the Contractor for the additional efforts required to identify and resolve these conflicts. 3. Equitable Adjustment: This Change Order does include an equitable adjustment per Section 1-09.4 of the 2022 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. See attached. The cost was calculated to be $26,264.80 and has been rounded to an estimated cost of $27,000.00. Affects DBE Work: No. 4. Critical Path Extension of Time: The Time for Completion is extended 0 Working Days. 5. Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.5 of the 2022 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications shall govern this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes detailed herein. The payment provided for herein shall constitute the complete and final settlement for all costs of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, profit, permit fees, and all other claims that may be made by the Contractor as a result of this change. 6.
