HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE_ BT105 Renton Transit Center - Discharge Authorization Flow AmountHi Joey / Ashley –
Thank you for the site plan. Our system can manage the proposed max of 50 GPM and 50,000 GPD at MH5040 as shown in the attached site plan.
Please coordinate with King County WTD and Community and Economic Development (CED) for a construction discharge permit.
Sincerely,
Joe

Thanks for the quick response, Joe.
I’m adding @Jacobs, Alyssa <mailto:alyssa.jacobs@soundtransit.org> my colleague from ST who oversees the project environmental compliance, and @Kollmorgen, Ashley <mailto:akollmorgen@encore-nw.com>
with Encore (under Shimmick) who worked on the discharge authorization application.
As far as which manhole(s) Shimmick intends to discharge to, I’m almost positive it’s “MH5040” referencing the below 1st image from the Renton GIS (with the sewer layer turned on) OR
the discharge will be to the surface water catch basin (type 1) labeled 500122 in the 2nd image below.
* @Kollmorgen, Ashley <mailto:akollmorgen@encore-nw.com> – can you confirm which manhole(s) the discharge will be to?
Thanks!

Hi Joey,
Would you mind sharing which manholes they intend to discharge to? It would be a lot easier for me if you use the Renton MH numbers.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,
Following-up from our chat this morning, below you’ll find the flow rate/how much water we (Shimmick and team) plan to discharge, as part of the King County Industrial Waste Discharge
Authorization.
As you’ll see the high discharge in July and August of this year is attributed to the Auger Cast pile foundations that will be installed for the structures on the project site. Besides
that, the discharge will be the 5,000 GPD for the wheel wash.
Let us know if this looks good to you and if so we’ll get this discharge authorization submitted to King County.
Thanks!
