NARRATIVE
Renton Case #26-1109
Unless otherwise noted, the following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, WA.
On 02/07/2026 at approximately 1606 hours I was dispatched to an unknown injury collision located
at the intersection of S 2nd St/Rainier Ave S. While enroute dispatch advised a witness called
regarding the collision and observed airbag deployment. I requested Renton Fire Department to go to
the scene to screen for any possible injuries.
I arrived on scene and observed the collision had taken place at the intersection of S 3rd St/Rainier
Ave S. I observed unit 1 bearing WA/CUW5453 blocking the intersection with heavy damage to the
front of the vehicle. All airbags had been deployed, and two male individuals were standing next to
the vehicle. I then observed unit 2 parked off the roadway on northbound Rainier Ave S. Unit 2 was
bearing WA/CTA7677 and was occupied by one male driver. I requested two tows to the scene as
neither vehicle was able to be driven.
I spoke with the driver of unit 1 who identified himself as Filippo Forte (DOB 04-25-2005) who advised
me of the following:
He was stopped at the intersection of S 3rd St/Rainier Ave S preparing to continue through the
intersection traveling eastbound. He observed a vehicle to his right, beginning to move forward so he
began driving. He did not look to check if the light was green or not. Unit 1 then struck unit 2 on the
driver's side in the middle of the intersection. After the collision occurred Filippo realized his light had
not yet turned green. Filippo produced a valid drivers license, insurance, and registration for his
vehicle.
I spoke with the driver of unit 2 who identified himself as Rodrigo A. Gallardo (DOB 01-10-2001) who
advised me of the following:
He was traveling northbound on Rainier Ave S traveling through the intersection at S 3rd St when he
was struck on his driver's side by unit 1. Rodrigo produced a valid driver's license, insurance, and
registration for his vehicle.
Based on the information gathered from involved parties and observations of the collision, the
proximate cause of the collision was the driver of unit 1 failing to obey the traffic signal and traveling
through the intersection while his light was red.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. I provided both drivers with an exchange of information. I
took photographs of the vehicles and uploaded them to evidence.com under Renton Case #26-1109.
This concludes my involvement with case #26-1109.
