Quick Recap
•Background: Wastewater system originally constructed in 1972 - multiple improvement phases since 2018
•Challenges: Aging, unreliable system posing many risks, limited access, complex maintenance,
environmentally sensitive conditions, dependent on dual pump stations to maintain flow, failures impact all
properties
•Current Update:
- New upland grinder pump system redirects wastewater away from lake
- Independent power supply with backup generator for system & existing pump station
- Improved reliability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term sustainability
•Key Benefits: Isolates failures to individual properties, eliminates in-lake sewer infrastructure, Enhances
maintenance access and system resilience
•Additional Improvements: Roadway drainage upgrades, new paving, and landscape restoration

Recommendation
Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement with Consor North America , Inc. in the
amount of $1,240,033 for construction management and inspection services for the Kennydale Lake line
Sewer system improvement project.
