NARRATIVE
26-2050
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 03/15/2026 at approximately 0958 hours, myself, Officer R. Watson, was dispatched to a collision,
in the 150 block of SW Sunset BLVD, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of
Washington.
Dispatch notes stated that there were 2 vehicles involved, no injuries, partially blocking and the
vehicle license plates.
I arrived on scene; I saw the red Prius partially blocking the number 1 lane of SW Sunset BLVD.
Unit# 1, driven by Jose Sanchez-Rodriguez (DOB 10/26/1984) verified by WA DOL photo, stated
through the use of language line, that he was driving a Red 2006 Toyota Prius, WA plate CSD5595.
There were no other passengers in the vehicle. Jose said that he was pulling out of the Chevron
station at 150 SW Sunset BLVD to go westbound (right turn) on SW Sunset BLVD when unit#2
collided with him because she was going too fast. Jose said that his legs hurt, was seen by Renton
Fire on scene and declined further care. When I asked for Jose's license, registration and insurance,
he was able to provide me with his insurance and driver's license. I was able to gather his registration
information from DOL. Unit#1 had significant damage to the front left side of the vehicle, no airbag
deployment and was able to start and pulled off the roadway to a nearby parking lot.
Unit#2 driven by Yvonne E. Seidl (DOB 04/02/1965) verified by WA DOL photo, stated she was
driving a Blue 2021 Toyota 4Runner, WA plate CDW4517. There were no other passengers in the
vehicle. Yvone said that she was traveling westbound on SW Sunset BLVD after stopping for the
traffic light at Hardie AVE SW and SW Sunset BLVD, when unit#1 pulled out of the Chevron station
in front of her causing the collision. Yvonne said she was not injured and declined aid. When I asked
for Yvonne's license, registration and insurance, she was able to provide me with her insurance and
driver's license. I was able to gather her registration information from DOL. Unit#2 had significant
right front-end damage, airbag deployment and was towed from the scene by Bankers Towing.
Based on the facts given by both parties, the proximate cause of the collision was unit#1 not yielding
the right-of-way to vehicles lawfully approaching on said highway.
An exchange of information was completed and provided to each party. Unit#1 was cited for failing to
yield the right of way (citation 6A0058560).
