Renton Case#26-2229
Unless otherwise noted,the following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, WA.
On 03/21/2026 at approximately 0758 hours I was dispatched to a blocking disabled vehicle located in the
northbound lane of Sunset Blvd N just south of the N 3rd St intersection.
I arrived on scene and observed the vehicle bearing WA/CGT1928 parked at the above location. I contacted
the driver who identified himself as Serghei Lesan (DOB 02-08-1965). He advised he was driving northbound in
lane 1 of Sunset Blvd N in the 200-block approaching the intersection. He began to merge to his right into the
turn lane that enters onto eastbound NE 3rd St. As he did so a red Subaru (unknown license plate) cut him off
and collided with his front driver's side quarter panel. I observed there was some paint transfer and minimal
damage to Sergei's vehicle.The red Subaru then continued onto eastbound NE 3rd St.They did not attempt to
make contact with Serghei or provide information.
If the driver of the red Subaru is to be identified there is probable cause for hit and run (attended) RCW
46.52.020.There is no further suspect information at this time.
This concludes my involvement with case#26-2229.
