On March 25, 2026, at 0822 hours dispatch requested that I contact a victim of a recent hit and run that
occurred at the intersection of Benson Dr S and S Puget Dr, in the city of Renton, county of King, and State of
Washington.The victim, later identified by his WADL as Patrick N Reid (06/05/1995), reported he was involved
in a collision where the other driver fled the area.
Upon contact, I spoke with the individual involved and confirmed no injuries had occurred requiring
immediate medical response at the time of report.There, I collected the involved parties driving documents
and their independent recollection of events leading up to the collision.
Patrick explained he was traveling northbound on Benson Dr S and intended to make a left turn at the
intersection of Puget Dr S. While sitting in the left turn lane, Unit#1 made an improper lane change when the
light turns green. Unit#1 collided with Unit#2 in the left turn lane, causing damage to the passenger wheel
well, right fender of Unit#2.
Unit#1 was described as a white sedan (possibly a Lexus). Unit#1 fled the location and was last seen traveling
westbound on Puget Dr S.The driver cannot be identified.
There is no suspect information at this time.
I provided the Patrick my contact information and case number.
