Narrative
On 03/28/2026 at about 1313 hours, a non-injury two motor vehicle collision occurred in the private parking
lot of the Sunset View Apartments located at 2101 SW Sunset Blvd within the city limits of Renton, King
County,Washington. When I arrived I contacted both drivers in the far west end of the parking lot. Neither
driver was injured, and both vehicles were drivable.
Henry A. Mancia Aguirre was driving Unit 1 (1997 Ford pickup truck with Washington state license plate
D72326A) at the time of the collision. Marcus Falealili was driving Unit 2 (2016 Chevrolet Silverado with
Washington state license plate C55311Y) at the time of the collision.
I spoke to both drivers who explained what happened. Unit 1 was pulled into a marked parking space near the
mailboxes located at the west end of the parking lot, and Unit 2 was parked behind Unit 1. Marcus exited his
vehicle while he retrieved mail from his mailbox. Marcus was outside of his vehicle when Unit 1 backed into
the rear driver side of Unit 2. Henry claimed he looked at both his exterior rear view mirrors, but he did not
notice Unit 2 parked behind him. Unit 2 had visible minor damage to the rear driver side area of the car, and
Unit 1 did not appear damaged. Neither driver was injured.
Marcus requested a report on the collision. I identified both drivers from their Washington state driver's
licenses. Marcus had motor vehicle insurance for his vehicle, but Henry did not. I gave both drivers a Renton
PD business card with the case number.
