Open TESC Items Ashley reached out to Ecology about getting authorization to submit February’s DMR. Shimmick/Ashley putting together letter of delegation to complete the hard copy ESAF needed. IT issue, not able to record turbidity, only pH. Ashley in touch with help desk at ecology. Water Treatment Protocols: System is setup on flow through, Adam knows how to turn it on. Nathan – overview of auto dialer Float triggers the call hanging in the first tanks where site water is pumped to. Triggers from pump going down, power interruptions, and recirc mode, calls Adam and Nathan. What happens when system goes into recirc mode? What is the response time? – 200 GPM pumped to system, where float is set we have about 1.5 hours, can allow more time by decreasing the flow rate. Recirc is automated based on pH and turbidity out of discharge specs. (>10 NTU, outside of 6.5-8.5) What is the response time if tanks are backing up or maintenance is required? 1.5 hours, see above. Treatment system records influent and effluent pH, effluent turbidity, and conductivity. Shimmick will obtain daily grab samples of influent turbidity when discharging. Encore will obtain weekly grab samples for lab analysis when discharging. Shimmick/Watertec will record the daily operations logs – these logs will be used for submitting DMR info. Real time discharge data is stored on PLC of system, Nathan can remote into system to obtain that data. Will Shimmick be obtaining turbidity samples over a weekend? (Eric) – Yes as needed, can shut down dewatering wells if needed as well (Adam) Transmit operator log with DMR monthly submittal. (Alyssa) No change on dumpster, still waiting for new one. No discharge to drain or surface water. Hose is getting replaced, and replacements of other hoses are being replaced. How does spill paperwork get sent to Sound Transit? (Cameron) Need clarification on how it happened and how to prevent in the future? (Eric) Daily equipment inspection checklist? (Eric) Shimmick has a daily equipment checklist for equipment, bad hoses are hard to tell on visual inspections. Shimmick is proactively replacing some other hoses that look suspicious. (Adam) Transmit spill report from 3/26, email counts toward 24-hr notification (Alyssa) Ashley to work with Shimmick on amending the spill report to include more detail on how it happened and efforts to prevent this in the future.
