Narrative
Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of
Washington.
This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras.This report is a summary of
events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
On 3/19/2026, at approximately 2335 hours I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run at Walmart located
at 743 Rainier Ave S. Dispatch within the last hour, RP reporting hit and run. Possible suspect info on
surveillance.
At approximately 2345 hours I arrived on scene. I noticed damage to rear passenger tail light of the victim
vehicle, a black 2025 Toyota Camry(WA LIC CIVIR1262). I contacted the reporting party identified as Wubetu S.
Woldemedhin DOB 6/25/1974 via resident ID card. Wubetu advised that he parked his car at approximately
2100 hours and went into the store. He exited the store at approximately 2240 and noticed the damage to his
car.
I noticed there were cameras set up in the parking lot that appeared to have a good angle on where his car
was parked however Walmart advised the cameras were not currently working.
I took photos of the damage and uploaded them into evidence.com.
If a suspect can be identified there is PC for Hit and Run Unattended.
