Environmental Weekly Meeting Minutes

Submittals
Sanitary Sewer Authorization – Sound Transit court
Alyssa submitting today or Monday.
Is the recirc valve auto or manual? (Alyssa) – Manual.
Trucking Plan – Approved
Site Specific Waste Management Plan – Shimmick court
Tree protection – Approved
Soil Management Plan – Need to research spec, may not be needed for this project.
May not need to provide, Alyssa will confirm – Waiting to hear from Joey
Shimmick to receive a field clarification from Sound Transit?
Environmental Management Plan – Sound Transit court
Open TESC Items
Ashley reached out to Ecology about getting authorization to submit February’s DMR.
Shimmick/Ashley putting together letter of delegation to complete the hard copy ESAF needed. – COMPLETE
Ashley working with permit administrator to finalize monitoring points and sampling parameters on SAW.
Water Treatment – Sampling 4/6
Asphalt berm completion – Most of the site is bermed except for a portion on the East side. No work activities in this area, but Shimmick will complete the berm in the next couple weeks.
Upcoming Schedule.
Bird survey update – 4/3
Install dewatering wells – Ongoing, 4/2-4/3 and 4/14-4/15
Sewer work within main site – 4/6-4/17
Drainage work within main site – 4/22-4/24
Demo concrete and asphalt middle of site, stockpile on gravel – Ongoing
Inspections are weekly by Ashley, daily inspections being performed by Shimmick (Cameron/George). - Alyssa
Transmit all new CESCL cards as they come in (Alyssa)
New Business
Hydraulic spill 3/26/26 from a hydraulic hose break on breaker attachment. <1 Gallon spilled to ground, cleaned spill with oil absorbent material and pads. No discharge to drain or
surface water.
Hose is getting replaced, and replacements of other hoses are being replaced.
How does spill paperwork get sent to Sound Transit? (Cameron)
Need clarification on how it happened and how to prevent in the future? (Eric)
Daily equipment inspection checklist? (Eric)
Shimmick has a daily equipment checklist for equipment, bad hoses are hard to tell on visual inspections. Shimmick is proactively replacing some other hoses that look suspicious. (Adam)
Transmit spill report from 3/26, email counts toward 24-hr notification (Alyssa)
Ashley to work with Shimmick on amending the spill report to include more detail on how it happened and efforts to prevent this in the future.
Amended spill report transmitted to Sharepoint.
Run all environmental questions and concerns through Ashley – Encore.
