The Renton Police Department and Renton Regional Fire Authority are hosting a free 5-session
Senior Public Safety Miniseries at various city locations from 1-2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays
April 8 and 22, and May 6. For more information and to register visit

Get ready to celebrate Renton’s rooftop dragon at the 7th Annual Dragon’s Annual Street Fair,
Sunday, April 12 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wells Avenue South between South 2nd and South 3rd
streets. Enjoy a Dragon’s Landing Costume Tournament, captivating performances, creative
crafts, and more. Admission is free and there will be fun for all ages. Visit

Dive into specialized policing topics and regional public safety partnerships. Attend one or all
four sessions of the Advanced Community Police Academy scheduled for April 28, May 5, June
2, and September 14. Sessions will be held at various locations. To register or for more
information visit www.rentonwa.gov/advcpa. Completion of a Renton Police Department
Community Police Academy is a prerequisite. Limited spots are available and a background
check is required.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures
happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic. All projects are weather
permitting and unless otherwise noted, streets will always remain open.

Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10. Intermittent lane closure on Rainier Ave N at
Airport Way for construction work. Approved traffic control plans were issued for all

On-going Street Closure through May 15, 2026 (City of Renton Resolution No. 4571)
FULL STREET CLOSURE on Houser Way N between Lake Washington Blvd N and Lowe’s
business access road in support of the I-405, Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express
Toll Lanes (ETL) project.
