The requested adjustment in the amount of $5,058.51 covers the billing period(s) of November & December 2025
as follows:

In accordance with Renton Municipal Code (RMC) 8-4-46 and 8-5-23, the city will grant a billing
adjustment of up to a maximum of two (2) regular meter reading cycles during the billing period
when a water or wastewater leak has occurred on the customer’s side of the water meter that is
located on the service line only. Water may be adjusted by 50% of leaked consumption; sewer may
be adjusted by 100% of all leaked water that did not enter the sanitary sewer system.
The finance department received a formal leak adjustment request from Floyd Kerb, a residential
property owner, for a leak that occurred at the service address 353 Sunset Blvd N. The water leak
was located at the main service line from the meter to the foundation of the building. The leak was
repaired on January 13, 2026. The property owner has met the requirements outlined in the code,
including submitting proof of repair, to adequately qualify for the leak adjustment for water and
sewer charges.
Approve the adjustment to customer account 4767-000 in the amount of $5,058.51 for excess
consumption caused by a qualified water line leak in accordance with RMC 8-4-46 and 8-5-23.
