On 4/3/2026 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for the
City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run that had recently occurred in the parking
lot of 365 Renton Center Way SW Renton/King/WA. Carole A Goodman DOB: 3/1/1950 was calling
to report that someone had hit her 2012 Cadillac SRX WA/SHMTYYF.
I called Carole per her request and asked her what happened, she had said that she had parked her
vehicle and gone shopping. As she was walking back to her car she was flagged down by a witness,
later identified as Robin S Armstrong DOB: 6/12/1957. Robin told her that she witnesses a male
driving a 2002 Toyota Pickup truck WA/B21290G back into her vehicle and leave the scene.
Carole said that her vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the collision and there was a small crack
and marking in the middle of her rear bumper. She said that she did wish to press charges for hit and
run and provided me with Robin's phone number. She also said that she had received pictures from
Robin of the Toyota, so I sent her an Axon Citizen Evidence link to upload the photographs.
I then called Robin; she explained that she walked past the driver of the Toyota on the way to her
vehicle. She said that after she passed him, she heard the collision behind her and turned around to
see the Toyota leaving the scene. She said it appeared as if the trailer hitch for the Toyota had hit the
Cadillac's bumper.
Robin described the suspect driver as a white male, 70-80 years old, white/gray hair, slim build, last
seen wearing blue jean and a plaid shirt. She said that she would be able to recognize him again if
seen.
The Toyota is registered to a Don Morrissey (No DOB listed) to 8698 Island Dr S Seattle WA. There is
no in-house record for Don listed.
On 4/7/2026 1 performed a LINX Check for the plate and did not receive any returns.
I then performed a LINX check of the registered owner and included his address, I received a return
of a Don Morrissey DOB: 3/29/1935. It showed that Don had reported a residential burglary at his
DOL address in 2011. 1 called the number listed for Don and received a message from the carrier
saying the call could not be completed.
I sent an RPD Hit and Run Notification Letter to the DOL address for the suspect vehicle.
Nothing further.
