Unless otherwise noted,the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of
Washington.
On 04/09/2026, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton.At approximately 1940
hours, I was dispatched to a non-injury, non-blocking motor vehicle collision at 921 N 10th St. Portions of my
involvement in the incident were captured on my department-issued bodycam.Any statements referred to
have been paraphrased and summarized.
When I arrived on scene, I spoke to the driver of unit 2. He advised that he was proceeding through the
parking lot when unit 1 backed out of its parking stall and collided with the passenger side of his vehicle.
Next, I spoke to the driver of unit 1. He claimed that unit 2 was driving too fast through the parking lot,
therefore, he did not have enough time to stop.
I captured photos of the damages and uploaded them to the case file via AXON Capture.
I believe that unit 1 is the proximate cause of the collision as it did not grant the right-of-way to unit 2, as
required.
