On 4-10-26 around 1250hrs I dispatched to a non-injury non-blocking collision at the intersection of Airport
Way/Lake Ave S, Renton, King Co, WA.
Unit designations for identification purposes only.
On arrival I contacted the reporting party and driver of 104XXQ/WA unit 1, Lillain I Williams 8-4-43, who
advised the following. Lillian was driving east in lane 3 of Airport Way approaching Lake Ave S. Lillian slowed
down to make a right/south turn onto Lake Ave S when her vehicle was struck on the rear passenger side
bumper by unit 2. 1 observed moderate damage on the rear bumper of unit 1. Lillian appeared uninjured.
I contacted Herbert L Kalama 4-10-79, driver of unit 2, CPF2600/WA. Herbert advised a similar telling of events
with the distinction that Lillian was driving in lane 2, not lane 3. Lillian then turned from lane 2, across lane 3,
onto Lake Ave S, causing the collision. Herbert advised the construction workers in the area observed the
collision and could corroborate his story. I contacted the construction workers who advised they did not
observe the collision. I observed moderate damage to the front driver side bumper of unit 2. Herbert
appeared uninjured.
I am unable to determine the proximate cause of the collision.
Herbert was unable to provide insurance information and Lillian provided expired information. Neither driver
was cited.
