EG92618 CASE# 26-2644 GATE OF COLLI r�510NN + 04/06/26 08:01 L1 NARRATIVE CC 26-2644 On 4/6/2026 at 0801 hours I was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at 16504 126th Ave SE in the City of Renton, King County, Washington. Pre-Collision Owner 2 stated that he heard a collision outside and was not inside of Unit 1 at the time of collision. Driver 1 stated that he was proceeding North on 126th Ave Se at around the 16500 block when he dropped a tool in the drivers compartment of Unit 1 and bent down to reach for this tool. Collision Driver 1 stated that when he reached down, Unit 1 turned to the right and he did not see that Unit 1 was turning. Driver 1 stated that the front passenger side bumper of Unit 1 collided with the rear drivers side bumper of Unit 2. The owner of Unit 2 stated that Unit 2 was parked on the East side of the street facing North (legally parked) at the time of collision. Per a check of DOL, Driver 1's driving status showed as Suspended/Revoked 3rd Degree. I verified Driver 1's identity with his physical WA DL. Injuries None reported. Vehicle Disposition Unit 2 was operational and Unit 1 was privately towed from the scene. Proximate Cause I determined that Driver 1 is the proximate cause of this collision because it shall be a traffic infraction, subject to RCW 7.80.120(1)(a), for any person to drive a motor vehicle on any public highway, street, alley, or road in an inattentive manner in the City of Renton. "Inattentive manner" in this section means a lack of: 1) attentiveness required to safely operate the vehicle under the prevailing conditions, including, but not limited to, the nature and condition of the roadway, the weather conditions, the presence of pedestrians, the presence of other traffic, or by the driver focusing or directing the driver's attention to something other than driving the motor vehicle; or 2) attentiveness that would permit the driver of a motor vehicle to observe anything resting on, or traveling on, or entering the roadway in time to take appropriate action as circumstances require. I also determined there to be probable cause to arrest Driver 1 for the crime of driving while license invalidated because it is unlawful for any person to drive a motor vehicle in this state while that person is in a suspended or revoked status or when his or her privilege to drive is suspended or revoked in this or any other state. Driver 1 admitted that he was the only person inside of the vehicle at the time of collision. Driver 1 was cited reference RMC 10-12-25 and RCW 46.20.342. 1 certify (declare) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct.
