EG92622 CASE# 26-2654 DATE OF COLLI r�510NN + 04/06/26 11:23 L1 NARRATIVE CC 26-2654 On 4/6/2026 at 1123 hours I was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Edmonds Ave NE and NE 12th St in the City of Renton, King County, Washington. Pre-Collision Driver 2 stated that she was facing North on Edmonds Ave NE at NE 12th St at the posted stop sign, preparing to go straight ahead on Edmonds Ave NE. Driver 1 stated that he was facing East on NE 12th St at Edmonds Ave NE facing a stop sign. Collision Driver 2 stated that she began to proceed into the intersection after coming to a stop and upon doing so, Unit 1 entered the intersection as well and the front bumper of Unit 1 collided with the driver side doors of Unit 2. Driver 1 stated that he came to a complete stop at the posted stop sign and proceeded to enter the intersection as he thought that he had arrived there before Unit 2. Driver 1 stated that upon moving forward, the front bumper of Unit 1 collided with the drivers side doors of Unit 2. A witness on the East side of the intersection facing West stated that he saw both vehicles arrive at the intersection at approximately the same time, and that Unit 1 possibly did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign. This witness was driving a Tesla and when I checked for video, it had not yet been set up as the vehicle was brought home the day this collision occurred. Driver 2 informed me that she did not have insurance. Injuries Driver 2 complained of pain in her left side, but refused treatment at the scene. Vehicle Disposition Unit 1 was rendered inoperable and was towed from the scene by Bankers Proximate Cause I determined that Driver 1 is the proximate cause of this collision because when two vehicles approach or enter an intersection from different highways at approximately the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle on the right. Given that the witness stated that both Unit's arrived at approximately the same time, had Driver 1 yielded the right of way to Driver 2, this collision would not have happened. Driver 1 was cited reference RCW 46.61.180. Driver 2 was cited reference RCW 46.30.020 for no insurance.
