Both vehicles were entered into Evidence on Q and taken to the Renton Police Evidence Garage
Narrative:
On 04.11.2026 at 1949 hours, Renton Police units were dispatched to a vehicle vs. motorcycle
collision in the 3200 block of NE Sunset Blvd. This is within the city limits of Renton, County of King,
WA. Initial reports were that the motorcyclist was unconscious and not breathing normally. 911 callers
reported seeing the motorcyclist fly through the air, over a vehicle before landing on the ground. This
information was upgraded to CPR in progress.
NE Sunset Blvd. travels NE to SW at this point in the road. There are two lanes in each direction with
a center turn lane. The speed limit is 35 mph.
When I arrived at 1951 hours, Renton Fire had traffic heading NE blocked with their engine. I asked
incoming units to block traffic at NE 12 ST, which is the nearest street. Renton Fire was treating the
motorcyclist who was down in the centermost NE lane, just NE of O'Reilly Auto Parts at 3213 NE
Sunset BLVD. The motorcycle in the center turn lane but closer to the NE lanes of travel.

NARRATIVE
I asked the crowd if anyone witnessed the collision. Witness Lucas Y Douglas DOB/05.24.2004 (later
identified by photo WADL) told me that he was riding with the injured motorcyclist (later identified by
photo WADL as Akaash N Sharma DOB/06.13.2006). and headed southwest. Douglass told me that
a car turned left from a driveway on the westside of the street and Sharma was unable to stop.
Douglass pointed out the driveway closest to the Red Wagon Burgers at 3154 NE Sunset Blvd as
where the car came from and told me that the car was parked at the O'Reilly Auto Parts (3213 NE
Sunset BLVD) and pointed out the female driver near her vehicle. I initially took Douglass' ID and
asked him to stay at the scene. The car was a green 2025 Rivian R1 S WA/CPC4096
VIN/7PDSGBBA4SN062277 registered to Jared Levy.
I asked Officer Peterson to contact that driver to obtain their side of the story.
I took some initial photos of the scene and of Sharma while he was being treated. Sharma was
wearing all black including his helmet. Sharma's bike was a black 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600 sport bike,
WA/01-9949 VIN/JS1 GN7DA472109081. The bike was on its left side facing to the west with the
wheels facing NE. Most of the debris field was in the center (2) lane that heads towards the NE.
Sharma was speaking on and off during his treatment by Renton Fire. I found a wallet in Sharma's
pants after they were cut off by Renton Fire. Inside was a photo WADL for Sharma. I sent the wallet
with Medics to Harborview.
Officer Peterson told me that he spoke to Patrice M Levy DOB/02.08.1988. Peterson told me that
Patrice Levy said she started to pull out of the parking lot at 3154 NE Sunset Blvd to turn left onto NE
Sunset Blvd. Patrice Levy initially didn't see anyone, then saw two motorcycles heading towards her
from the NE at a high rate of speed. Patrice Levy tried to avoid the collision but was unable to do so.
Patrice Levy was uninjured. Patrice Levy provided a photo WADL, proof of insurance, and a vehicle
registration (registered to her husband.). I asked if Officer Peterson had checked the driver for signs
of impairment, he had not. (See Officer Peterson's report). Levy is uninjured.
When Officers Battle and Atchinson arrived, I asked them to contact Patrice Levy and assess whether
there were any signs of impairment. Officer Battle told me there were no signs of impairment.
I spoke to Douglass again. Douglass told me that he was in the curb (or#1) lane about 6-7car lengths
behind his friend. The friend, Sharma was in the center (2 lane). Douglass told me that the Rivian
slowly pulled out and he (Sharma) slowly tried to avoid. Douglass felt that Sharma tried to avoid the
Rivian and maybe if that hadn't happened the collision wouldn't have occurred. I asked Douglass
how fast he was going. Douglass told me that his bike doesn't go as fast as his friend's bike as his
bike is only a "400." Douglas told me that he thought he was going 40, maybe 50 and he (Sharma)
was probably going 60, 70.
Douglass provided a written statement.
I spoke briefly with Patrice Levy. photos of her WADL and proof of insurance. I gave Levy a copy of
the exchange of information. I told her that I would call her if I was able to obtain proof of insurance
for the other driver.
Traffic investigators were called out to the scene. Sergeant Trader advised that if the driver of the
Rivian had good ID, traffic could contact her later. When the traffic investigators arrived, the scene
was turned over to them.
Douglass' family knows Sharma's family. His mom went to the Sharma residence to inform them that
their son was headed to Harborview. I was advised via Douglass that Sharma keeps his insurance
card in a storage compartment on the bike. With the help of Traffic Officer Leverton, we found such a

compartment under the seat. Inside was the proof of insurance. I gave Douglass the bike information
including the proof of insurance so he could return it to Sharma. I also gave Douglass the exchange
of information so he could provide it for the Sharma family.
I called Patrice Levy and sent her a text photo of Sharma's insurance card.
I entered both the motorcycle and the Rivian into RPD evidence and completed impound forms for
both vehicles. I turned both the impound and the evidence tags to Evidence Tech Jay.
This incident occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise specifically
noted. During this incident I was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and
video. Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is
not intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform jump suit
was marked with "Police" both on the back, and department patches on each shoulder of the
jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro badge on my left chest. It would be immediately obvious
to any reasonable person that I was a Police Officer.
