EG95548 CASE# 26-3028 OF COLLISION 04/18/26 15:51 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE 26-3028 On 4/18/2026 at 1554 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury, non-blocking motor vehicle collision at Rainier Ave S and Renton Ave EXT in the City of Renton, King County, Washington. When I arrived, I contacted Driver 2, Erika Suazo Fombona (DOB 12-21-1983, verified by WADL photo) and advised her I was recording. I was able to communicate with Erika by utilizing the translation feature of my body worn camera, and with the assistance of her family member. Erika stated she was driving east bound on Renton Ave EXT when Driver 1 turned out in front of her and the vehicles collided. Erika's son Jakob R Reyna Suazo (DOB 11-17-2016) was in the right rear seat at the time of the collision. Erika and Jakob did not report any injuries. Erika provided me with her license, registration, and proof of valid insurance. I then contacted Driver 1, Misael Solano Manzano (DOB 04-28-1984, verified by WAID photo) and advised him I was recording. He was driving (WA/CFW1392). Misael stated he was in the parking lot of AMPM (251 Rainier Ave N) and turned left across the westbound lanes of Renton Ave EXT into the eastbound side of Renton Ave EXT. He stated he did not see Unit 2 approaching when he turned in front of Unit 2. Misael did not report any injuries. Based on the statements of both drivers and my observations of the vehicles, I determined the proximate cause of this accident to be Misael failing to yield as he made a left turn. If Misael had yielded the right of way, the accident would not have occurred. I continued my interview with Misael. Misael stated that he did not have a valid drivers license because he believed it was revoked. He provided me with the registration for the vehicle. The vehicle was registered to Misael's brother, Claudio R Solano (DOB 07-30-1980, verified by WADL photo). Misael stated he did not have insurance for the vehicle. A return on Misael showed that his license was suspended in the 3rd degree, and that he was required to have an ignition interlock device. When I asked if the vehicle was equipped with an ignition interlock device, Misael stated the vehicle did not. He gave me consent to open the door and verify the vehicle did not have an interlock device installed. I then told Misael he was under arrest for violating the interlock device requirement and driving with a suspended license. I read Misael his Miranda rights verbatim from my department issued officer codebook. Misael gave permission for Claudio to take possession of the car keys, and USD cash he had in his possession. Misael was transported to score jail and booked on Sector citation #6A0197467, driving while license suspended 3rd degree, and an ignition interlock violation. I completed Sector infraction #6A0250046, vehicle turning left failing to yield, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The infraction will be mailed to Misael's address.
