Officer Narrative
Narrative
Unit 1 was traveling westbound in the 1000 blk of N Southport DR in the far-left lane just before
two additional Lanes to the Left open up for Left turn only. Unit 2 was traveling behind Unit 1 also
westbound in the 1000 blk of N Southport DR.
Driver 2 states that the Lanes opened up and he moved into these left turn lanes when Unit 1
changed lanes to the left which resulted in the collision.
Driver 1 states that Unit 2 crossed over the double yellow Line and proceeded forward before the
Left turn Lanes opened up, and she changed Lanes to the left when the roadway markings
permitted but was unaware of Unit 2's presence as it was unlawful.
Unknown which description of events was accurate.
The front passenger tire of Unit 2 impacted the front driver's wheel area of Unit 1. Unit 2
sustained no damage as it was all on his tire. Unit 1 sustained minor damage to the front
driver's corner.

This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
