NARRATIVE

This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 04/25/2026 at approximately 1305 hours, myself, Officer R. Watson, was dispatched to a collision,
at the intersection of Logan AVE N and N 3rd ST, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King,
State of Washington.
Dispatch notes stated that there was a two-vehicle collision with injuries and blocking.
I arrived on scene and observed two vehicles blocking both lanes of northbound Logan AVE N at the
intersection of N 3rd ST.
Unit# 1, driven by Kamlesh Kumar (DOB 09/06/1958) verified by WA DOL photo, stated he was
driving a Red 2024 Toyota Grand, WA plate CMK4052. There was a female passenger in the vehicle
who did not identify herself, but Kamlesh said was his wife. Kamlesh said that he was traveling
southbound on Logan AVE N, waiting at a yellow arrow to turn left, eastbound onto N 3rd ST, when
unit#3 in the closest lane (number 2 lane) stopped to let him make his left turn because traffic was
backed up. He saw unit#2 traveling northbound in the number 1 lane but thought that it was going to
stop also, so he took his turn. After he took his turn, he noticed that unit#2 was not stopping and unit
#1 collided with unit#2. The passenger, Kamlesh's wife complained of pain (not specified to me), was
seen by Renton Fire Department medics on scene, declined further medical treatment and walked
away from the scene. When I asked for Kamlesh's license, registration and insurance, he was able to
provide me with all documents. Unit#1 had moderate damage to the front right side of the vehicle, no
airbag deployment, was unable to be driven from the scene, and towed by Banker's towing.
Unit# 2, driven by Abby M. Boespflug (DOB 03/08/2004) verified by WA DOL photo, stated she was
driving a Red 2025 Mazda 3, WA plate CPN1504. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
Abby said that she was traveling northbound on Logan AVE N, saw she had a green light and
proceeded through the intersection with N 3rd ST. She said unit#1 then collided with her vehicle.
Abby was not injured and declined aid. When I asked for Abby's license, registration and insurance,
she was able to provide me with all documents. Unit#2 had significant front left-side damage,
multiple airbag deployments and had to be towed from the scene by Bankers Towing.
Unit# 3 was not involved in the collision, the drivers information is not known and it did not stay on
the scene as a witness.
An exchange of information was given to both parties involved.
