" VICINITY MAP NOTES 1. ALL MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE 1988 STATE OF WASHINGTON, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION, AND CITY OF RENTON STANDARDS. 2. IT WILL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT ALL UTILITY COMPANIES IN ORDER TO ASSURE THAT ALL LINES, PIPES, POLES AND OTHER APPURTENANCES ARE PROPERLY LOCATED AND THEIR INSTALLATION IS COORDINATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION. ALL UTILITY RELOCATION WORK, IF ANY, SHALL BE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONTRACTOR AND MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARDS ADOPTED BY THE CITY. 3. BURIED UTILITIES ARE SHOWN IN THEIR APPROXIMATE LOCATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE THE UTILITIES VERIFIED ON THE GROUND PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION. 4. ANY REVISIONS TO THESE PLANS MUST BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS PRIOR TO ANY IMPLEMENTATION IN THE FIELD. 5. A COPY OF THESE APPROVED PLANS MUST BE ON THE JOB SITE WHENEVER CONSTRUCTION IS IN PROGRESS. 6. BENCH MARK IS CHISELED SQUARE IN BACK CONCRETE WALK AT SIDE ENTRANCE TO SERVICE LINEN BUILDING AT SOUTHEAST CORNER SOUTH 4TH STREET AND WELLS AVENUE SOUTH. EL.37.97 7. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL AS REQUIRED TO PREVENT RELEASE OF SEDIMENT -LADEN STORM RUNOFF FROM THE SITE. TEMPORARY EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MEASURES, INCLUDING SILT FENCES AND CATCH BASIN SEDIMENT TRAPS, SHALL BE INSTALLED AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLANS. ANY PROBLEMS OCCURRING BEFORE FINAL ACCEPTANCE AND WITHIN ONE YEAR THEREAFTER SHALL BE CORRECTED BY THE CONTRACTOR. 8. BEDDING AND BACKFILLING OF PIPE SHALL CONFORM TO WASHDOT STANDARD PLAN B-11, METHOD A. 9. CMP CULVERT SHALL BE 16 GA MINIMUM AND SHALL BE EITHER GALVANIZED STEEL WITH TREATMENT 11 ASPHALT COATING, OR ALUMINUM ALLOY. 10. THE HOURS OF WORK IN THE STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY SHALL BE LIMITED TO 8:30 AM TO 3:30 PM ON WEEKDAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AT 235-2635. ALL STREET CLOSURES, PARTIAL OR FULL, SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND 911 SHALL BE NOTIFIED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. 11. A PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION. A MINIMUM OF 3 (THREE) WORKING DAYS NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR SCHEDULING. PRIOR TO SCHEDULING THE PRECON A PERMIT INFORMATION SHEET MUST BE SUPPLIED TO THE UTILITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. TWENTY-FOUR HOUR NOTICE WILL BE REQUIRED PRIOR TO STARTING NEW CONSTRUCTION. 12. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO SECURE ALL NECESSARY PERMITS PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION. 13. INSPECTION WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF RENTON. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY THE UTILITY DEPARTMENT 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF BACKFILLING ALL CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR AS WELL AS THE ENGINEERS SHALL KEEP AS -BUILT DRAWINGS. 14. ASPHALT AND CONCRETE STREET PAVING SHALL BE SAWCUT TO A MINIMUM DEPTH OF TWO INCHES. OIL MAT STREETS MAY BE SPADE CUT. ALL SURFACE CONCRETE, PAVEMENT, SIDEWALKS, CURB, GUTTERS, AND DRIVEWAY APPROACHES SHALL BE SAWCUT TO A MINIMUM DEPTH OF TWO INCHES OR REMOVED TO AN EXISTING EXPANSION JOINT. 15. A TEMPORARY COLD MIX ASPHALT PATCH SHALL BE PLACED ON THE DAY OF INITIAL EXCAVATION WITH A PERMANENT, SEALED PATCH TO BE PLACED, TO CITY OF RENTON POLICY, WITHIN TEN DAYS. CALL FOR SUBGRADE INSPECTION PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF FINAL PATCH.
