DLState DLExp Address Primary Phone&Type AdditionalContact Number&Type Additional Contact Number&Type Race Sex DOB- Height Weight Even Hair Collision 2026-00003440 Paqe 2 OF 5 Case Number 2026-00003440 Officer Narrative Narrative On 05/03/2026, 1 was working uniformed patrol in a marked police car as 31323.At approximately 1842 hours, officers were dispatched to a blocking collision at the intersection of Factory Ave N/N 3rd St,which is located within the city limits of Renton, County of King,Washington. Dispatch advised that a caller had reported a collision at the location with no reported injuries. When I arrived at the dispatch location, 1 was able to locate the vehicles involved and their occupants as described above. I identified them as Unit 1 and Unit 2, and also identified their respective sole-occupant drivers as described above. I saw that Unit 2 was blocking the northbound lane of Factory Ave N and also partially blocking the southbound lane. I saw that Unit 1 was pulled over on N 3rd St,just east of the intersection, blocking lane 1. I was able to speak to the driver of Unit 2. He described the following: Unit 2 stated he was headed southbound on Factory Ave N, about to cross N 3rd St. Unit 2 mentioned that his light was green and proceeded into the intersection. Unit 2 mentioned he saw Unit 1 approaching from his right, the eastbound lanes of N 3rd St, and mentioned that Unit 1 did not appear to slow down to stop.This resulted in the front end of Unit 1 impacting the rear passenger side of Unit 2. 1 looked around Unit 2. 1 saw that no airbags had deployed inside. I also saw that there was moderate damage to the rear passenger side wheel well area of the vehicle.The area was dented with the passenger side rear tire deflated. The driver of Unit 2 stated he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. It should be noted that the driver of Unit 2 was not currently licensed at the time of the accident and only had a valid Washington State Identification Card. I then was able to speak to Unit 1. He described the following: Unit 1 stated he was headed eastbound on N 3rd St, in lane 1, approaching Factory Ave N. Unit 1 was proceeding past Factory Ave N before its front end collided with the rear passenger side of Unit 2. Unit 1 could not recall if his light was green. I also saw that there was minor damage to the front end of the vehicle.The area had visible scuffing but not obvious dents. The driver of Unit 1 stated he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. I was later able to contact a witness as listed above that had a video recording of the collision. He did clarify that he did not see the collision occur but had video. He later uploaded the footage to Evidence.com. I reviewed the video and saw the following: The camera shows the intersection of N 3rd St/Factory Ave N. The camera appears to be located on the house on the southeast corner facing outward.At about 47 seconds into the video,you can see that the lights for north and southbound Factory Ave N are green. Unit 2 can be seen headed southbound on Factory Ave N approaching N 3rd St. Unit 1 can be seen in lane 1 of eastbound N 3rd St.At about 50 seconds into the video, Unit 2 continued through N 3rd St while southbound on Factory Ave N since he was right of way. Unit 1's front end can subsequently be seen striking the rear passenger side of Unit 2. 1 provided both parties with a Renton PD business card with the associated case number for their records. Unit 1 left the location under its own power as its vehicle was drivable. Unit 2 remained on scene until Gene Meyer Tow arrived to take possession of the vehicle, as it was undrivable. I did check the intersection for any traffic cameras to no avail. Associated photos were uploaded to Evidence.com to be added to the case file. Based on the totality of the circumstances, Unit 1 is the proximate cause of the collision. This concludes my report.
