THIS AMENDMENT, datedfor reference purposes only as April 20, 2026,is by and between
the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Sanford, Olson &
Scales, LLC, doing business as Police Strategies, LLC (“Consultant”), a limited liability
company. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendmentas the
“Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendmentiseffective as of the last date
signed by both parties.
Whereas,the City engaged the services of Consultant under Agreement CAG-22-115, dated
April 10,2022, to provide services related to an analysis of police use of force data(referred
to herein as the “Agreement”); and
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to update the time of performance.
Consultant agrees to provide an analysis of the City’s use of force reports from 2026-2030,
PFAS dashboard file, PFAN comparative dashboard file, and public dashboards, and
conduct online dashboard training and presentations (as needed) specified in CAG 22-115,
exhibit A.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-22-115 is amended as follows:
1. Time of Performance:Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the
schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A, (CAG 22-115, exhibit A). All Workshall be performed
by no later than December 31, 2030.
2. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum
amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $ 1,000.00 per year
from $10,000.00 to $11,000.00, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The
additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actuallyperformed.
3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment
as if fully set forth herein.
