Within the City Limits of Renton, King County, Washington,while working uniformed patrol for
the City of Renton in a marked police vehicle the following occurred.
On 05/08/26 at approximately 1641 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision which
occurred at the intersection of N 3rd St and Park Ave N. I contacted the driver of Unit 2 at their
address who was identified by WADL as Vaquez,Jorge R. (03/14/1982). Jorge told me the
following.
At approximately 1550 hours he was proceeding through the intersection in lane 2 of N 3rd ST
and Park Ave N. While proceeding through the intersection Unit 1, described as a gray/blue
newer Nissan Altima, came up in lane three,which is a left turn only lane to proceed northbound
on Park Ave N, and instead drove straight continuing eastbound N 3rd St.When Unit 1 did this,
they struck the side of Unit 2 causing slight damage to the rear quarter panel and striking the
driver's side mirror of Unit 2. Unit 1 fled eastbound and the last time Vaquez observed the
vehicle, it was heading eastbound through the intersection of Sunset Blvd N.There is no plate
for the suspect vehicle nor description of the driver. I looked through the cameras at N 3rd St
and Sunset Blvd N and did not observe the vehicle in question.
Vazquez provided me with his license and insurance for the report.
