Property Value tanked by another quit claim turnaround. They were denied an application for an Islamic Day Care/Afterschool program. Mohammad then quit claimed the property to Saleh Foundation (Owner: Mohammad). Within 6 months They were able to submit planning for an Islamic School, apartments, retail space, and Events/Gather Rooms used for "Religious Preaching". Their website specifically indicates these activities. SINCE 2018, This city has been unaware this property's actual use is a "prayer" center. The property records indicate the primary use is "Parking Lot" However, There are several large tents on the back of the property where they hold a weekly Mosque (Friday Mornings, then evenings). There are usually no less than 40 cars already in attendance on the property for "prayer" yet there are unseen bathroom facilities. The project indicates there will be 20 Parking Stalls, 7 street side stalls (by the way there is a waterway there that directly feeds into May Creek), and 42 "offsite" stalls. The so called Off Site Parking IS the adjoining property owned by The Storage Unit owner. This means 70 vehicles will driving through a 1 and a half lane road, more often now. What happens if the prayer center grows in attendance (They already have the intended attendance). The Korean Church, a few parcels over, have outgrown theirs. They have well over 100 vehicles in attendance. About 30% of those vehicles are now parked on the road, in the road, and are blocking the turn onto Jones Ave. If there is an Emergency on our road, there is only one way to get to our residents, Jones AVE. These services will hinder our safety. The traffic on our road now is already hindered by the "Foundation" members driving like they own the road, they do not look or care when they pull in an out, if you are in the way, they feel they have the right of way. They are disrespectful of my property and are often seen sitting along my rock wall. Our safety matters, and so does the environment along May Creek, a salmon bearing creek! I urge you to take a drive down the road and tell me if you believe it is safe for that amount of traffic on a 1.5 lane road with no outlets, and waterways on each side. Please also drive down there on a very rainy day, you will notice improper, city neglected, and unmaintained storm drainage. Sometimes we have a lake in the road. Guess where the run off from their vehicles drain in to??? We beg you not to put our safety last. We have all owned these properties for well over 30 years and you will be destroying our wildlife sanctuary. The city doesn't gain revenue from Religious Organizations. However, this will be a costly mistake for the city.
