Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions
of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an
exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#309 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and
sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform clearly identifies me as a Police
Officer.
Case Number 26-3643
On 05/11/2026 at approximately 1929 hours I was dispatched to a collision that occurred at NE 3rd St and
Sunset Blvd N,within the City of Renton, King County, Washington.
Unit 1 was identified as a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan (WA/LIC: BIM9375 VIN# 1D4GP24R85B176890) which
was driven by D'luan T Tillman (DOB 03/23/1990). Unit 1 sustained very minor front end damage and was able
to leave under its own power.
Unit 2 was identified as a 2022 Honda HRV(WA/LIC: BZX0685 VIN#3CZRU6H79NM709895)which was driven
by Thomas E Marcella (DOB 07/06/1980). Unit 2 sustained minor rear end damage and was able to leave
under its own power.
Both parties explained that they were stopped at the red light facing westbound on NE 3rd St just east of
Sunset Blvd N. Unit 1 was behind unit 2 and slipped off the brake which caused him to roll into unit 2 in a rear
end fashion. No injuries were reported and the damage was very minor.
The proximate cause of this collision was unit 1 slipping off the brake.
