Narrative
On 05/12/2026, 1 was working uniformed patrol in a marked police car as 3R23.At approximately
1854 hours, I was dispatched to a recent hit and run accident at the Renton High School at 400 S
2nd St,which is located within the city limits of Renton, County of King,Washington. Later
investigation revealed that the actual incident location was at the intersection of S 2nd St/Morris
Ave S, Renton. Dispatch advised that a caller reported a hit and run to her vehicle.The involved
suspect vehicle was last seen headed southbound on Rainier Ave S.The caller requested that
officers contact her over the phone.
I was able to contact the caller/victim over the phone. She identified herself to me as Ashayet M.
Jackson (DOB: 07/101992). She will be referred to as Unit 2. She reported the following:
Unit 2 identified that she was the driver and sole occupant of Unit 2 as listed in the former.
Unit 2 also identified that the other vehicle involved (Unit 1) in this incident was as listed in the
former.
At approximately 1827 hours, Unit 2 reported that she was in the right-most lane of S 2nd St, in
front of the Renton High School, stopped at a steady red light in the westbound lanes of S 2nd St
at Morris Ave S. She described that there was another unknown vehicle stopped at the same
Light in the adjacent lane.
Unit 2 described that suddenly, Unit 1 came from behind her and attempted to lane split
between Unit 2 and the adjacent vehicle to proceed past the intersection.This resulted in the
passenger side of Unit 1 side-swiping and damaging the driver's side of Unit 2.
Unit 2 described that Unit 1 continued past Morris Ave S, before eventually turning southbound
on Rainier Ave S. Unit 2 was able to capture a picture of Unit 1's license plate.
Unit 2 mentioned that her vehicle sustained minor scuffs along the front driver's side wheel well
area and bumper. Her vehicle was still drivable.
Unit 2 also mentioned she was wearing her seatbelt during the incident, was not injured, and
that no airbags in her vehicle had deployed.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.

Unit 2 did not have any dash camera footage of the incident and was only able to see that there
were 2 occupants inside the vehicle. She would not be able to identify any of the occupants or
the driver at this time.
Based on the information provided on Unit 1, 1 was able to review the DOL registration
information and saw that Unit 1 had been sold on 03/24/2026. Using law enforcement
databases, I located the DOL return for the new registered owner who I identified as Jazmine J.
Vaz(DOB: 03/07/2005). 1 saw that she may live in the city of Everett. I asked Everett PD to
conduct a knock and talk to see if the owner was home and could provide insurance
information. Everett PD eventually got back to me over the phone and was unable to locate
anyone.
Unit 2 stated she would like a report for insurance purposes and to document the damages.
Unit 2 uploaded photos of Unit 1 and the damage to her vehicle to Evidence.com to be added to
the case file.
I provided Unit 2 with the associated Renton PD case number for her records.
