The public may provide written comments on a project during the public comment period. The comment period deadline can be found on the notice received in the mail, the notice board posted on-site, in our Digital Records Library, or Land Use Public Notice page. Your comments must be received before the public comment deadline for the Decision Maker to consider them when deciding on the project. Please include the Land Use file number (LUA) or project address in your comment letter.   If you choose to submit a comment on a project, you will automatically become a party of record for that project and will receive copies of project decisions and correspondence throughout the review process. In addition, we upload all public comments to the project and they become a part of the public record. If you have any questions or issues please email por@rentonwa.gov. Tips for commenting on a development proposal can be found here. No Yes Submit a Comment Comment I am currently the title holder to the subject property, and there is an open Purchase and Sale agreement that is active for this property. In that agreement, there is a specific addendum that provides that the detached garage shall remain available and accessible to Ginger Taylor for her charity work for the Renton Community, until such time she can no longer perform that work, or agrees to end or alter that arrangement. No such agreement or arrangement has yet been made. As title holder to the property, I also need to have the following concerns addressed: I must provide written consent before any construction can begin; A formal amendment to the P&S agreement detailing the construction project; I may require a Payment and Performance Bond from the builder or require the purchaser to place the construction funds in an Escrow Account that pays contractors directly upon proof of lien waivers; I must receive full payment for the property in advance of any sale, or, a Simultaneous "Triangular" Closing must be performed, i.e. the new buyer’s money goes to pay off our remaining contract balance; we would then sign a Fulfillment Deed, which allows the purchaser to then grant a Warranty Deed to the new buyer. Ensure the Title company is willing to insure the eventual sale from the purchaser to a third party while our contract is still active. Thank you, Douglas G Scherer
