Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
Facilities Master Planning and Parks Maintenance Shop Redevelopment
The City of Renton is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified
Architectural and Engineering (A&E) firms to provide professional design and construction
support services for a city-wide Facilities Master Planning and Parks Shop Redevelopment
Project. The work will support facilities located at 1100 Bronson Way North and a newly
acquired site at 2940 E Valley Rd, and will integrate long-term operational, planning, and
construction needs across the City’s maintenance functions.
The objective of this project is to deliver a safe, durable, efficient, and sustainable
maintenance facility that meets applicable building codes, supports current and future
operational requirements, and provides long-term flexibility for City maintenance
operations.
The selected Consultant will provide comprehensive professional services that may
include project management and coordination, site evaluation and existing conditions
assessment, demolition planning and support services, temporary facility planning, design
and permitting support to maintain ongoing operations during construction, architectural
and engineering design services, preparation of design and construction bid documents,
construction administration, construction management, and coordination with City staff,
stakeholders, and the public as required.
This project is funded through the City of Renton Capital Investment Program under GL
Code 316.220071.015.594.18.62.00.
Questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing to the City Contact listed below
no later than 11:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026. All responses, clarifications, and addenda
will be issued in writing.
Statements of Qualifications must be received no later than Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at
1:00 PM. Late submittals will not be accepted. We ask that SOQs demonstrate the firm’s
experience, technical expertise, project approach, and capacity to successfully perform
the work described.
Submittals will be evaluated based solely on qualifications, including relevant experience
and technical capability in delivering projects of similar scope and complexity, project
approach and understanding of the project objectives, and the qualifications and
experience of key personnel assigned to the project. Evaluation will be based on the
information provided in the SOQ. The City will identify the firm best suited for the project
based on these criteria.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, waive informalities, cancel or
reissue this RFQ, and request additional information from proposers. This RFQ does not
obligate the City to award a contract or to pay any costs incurred in preparing a response.
