The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"on the front, "Renton Police"on the
back, with department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton
Police Velcro badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person
that I was a Police Officer.
On 5/20/2026 at 1030 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision that occurred at the
intersection of Maple Valley Highway and 140th Way SE.
The victim, identified as Thi N. Huynh (DOB: 03/20/2000) by WA DL, stated that she was stopped
facing West on Maple Valley Highway at 140th Way SE in the lefthand turn lane waiting for the light
to turn green. Huynh was driving her red 2022 Toyota Corolla (WA LP: CAS2068).
While stopped, Huynh stated that a black sedan, unknown make/model, collided with the rear
bumper of her vehicle. Huynh stated that the driver was an unknown race female that motioned for
her to pull over, which Huynh did. Following this, Huynh stated that the sedan fled Westbound on
Maple Valley Highway.
Huynh stated that she could likely not identify the suspect in this case and does not wish to assist in
prosecution.
