EH05314 CASE# 26-3538 OF COLLISION 05/07/26 14:27 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE CC 26-3538 On 5/07/2026 at 1450 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle collision at Sound Ford located at 101 W Grady Way in the City of Renton, King County, Washington. Pre-Collision Unit 2 was parked behind the business in the 100 block of SW 12th St on the South side of the roadway facing East. Unit 1 was proceeding East on SW 12th St in the 100 block. Collision Per video and the witness, identified as Jean M. Joseph (DOB: 06/09/1971) by WA DL, as Unit 1 proceeded East along SW 12th St, it passed Unit 2 that was parked and unoccupied. Video shows that the right front of Unit 1's windshield area collided with the drivers side mirror of Unit 2, causing the mirror to crack and destroy portions of the body of the mirror. Joseph stated that he ran after the suspect vehicle and captured a photo of the license plate and spoke to the driver, who Joseph described as an elderly white male with gray hair and facial hair. Joseph stated that the suspect driver told him that he didn't know that he was involved in a collision and that he would pull over. The suspect then drove away West on SW 12th St. Based upon the description given, I believe that there is reasonable suspicion that the driver of the suspect vehicle is the registered owner, identified as Kenneth C. Loveridge (DOB: 06/08/1945), due to the description of an elderly male with gray hair and facial hair. Per Loveridge's DOL photo, he has all of the described features and was likely to be in control of the vehicle that is registered to him. I completed a photo montage that was presented to Joseph by another Officer. Officer Bills presented a photo montage to Joseph and he was able to identify Loveridge as the driver of the suspect vehicle at the time of the collision. Injuries None Vehicle Disposition Both were operational. Final Disposition I determined there to be probable cause to arrest Kenneth C. Loveridge (DOB: 06/08/1945) for the crime of Hit and Run Unattended (RCW 46.52.010) because the operator of any vehicle which collided with any other vehicle which is unattended shall immediately stop and shall then and there either locate and notify the operator or owner of such vehicle of the name and address of the operator and owner of the vehicle striking the unattended vehicle or shall leave in a conspicuous place in the vehicle struck a written notice, giving the name and address of the operator and of the owner of the vehicle striking such other vehicle. Loveridge made no attempt to do these steps and went as far as to leave after being informed that he collided with another vehicle. Citation #6A0254438 was completed and sent to the Renton Prosecuting Attorney for review .
