Renton Case#26-3993
On 05/23/2026 at 1549 hours I was dispatched to 1300 N 20th St, in the City of Renton, King County,
Washington. I was responded to the call of a recent non-injury, blocking, motor vehicle collision. This incident
was captured on my body worn video camera.This report is a summation of events that occurred and is
not an exact sequence of events.
Upon arrival, I contacted all involved parties on N 20th St,just east of Lake Washington BLVD N.
I identified Unit 1 as a black 2019 Volkswagen Beetle(WA LIC#BWN9294) being driven by the registered
owner of the vehicle, identified by her WA DL as Leah T Henley(DOB 12/20/1975).
1 identified Unit 2 as a red 2010 Toyota Prius(TX LIC#VBW7569) being driven by the registered owner of
the vehicle, identified by his TX DL as Junior A Colmenares-Vanegas (DOB 07/13/1994).
Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 drivers provided me with their respective driver licenses, registration and proof of
insurance. Both drivers stated they were uninjured.
In speaking with both involved drivers,they advised that Unit 1 vehicle had been exiting the apartment
complex onto N 20th St when it struck Unit 2 vehicle which was traveling westbound on N 20th St. Unit 1
driver claimed responsibility for the collision and stated that she did not see Unit 2 vehicle, as her view
was obstructed by uninvolved vehicles parked on the shoulder of the roadway.
I observed front end damage to each involved vehicle consistent with the version of events provided by each. I
took photographs of both vehicles, and their sustained damage, and later uploaded them to Axon Evidence.
I provided each unit involved with a business card, case number and answered their remaining questions.
I then cleared the scene.
