Narrative
On 05/24/2026 at about 1511 hours, I was working uniform marked patrol as 1R15 when I was dispatched to
take a report over the phone of a non-injury hit and run collision that occurred in the Feast Buffet parking lot
located at 485 Renton Center Way SW within the city limits of Renton, King County,Washington. I called and
spoke to Cherry D. Molett-Donald who reported the collision.
Cherry was in her vehicle (white colored 2019 Chevrolet Equinox with Washington state license plate
CEA2960) headed west while in the Feast Buffet parking lot. She stopped behind the suspect vehicle and
waited to turn onto Hardie Ave SW. Cherry noticed another vehicle pulling into the lot off Hardie Ave SW, and
the suspect vehicle that was stopped in front of her began backing up towards her. Cherry sounded the horn
on her car, but the suspect vehicle continued to back up until its rear bumper struck the front bumper of
Cherry's vehicle. Cherry and the suspect driver both exited their vehicles and assessed the damage. The
suspect driver began to apologize, and Cherry asked for his driver's license. The suspect driver appeared to
reach into his vehicle to grab his license, but he then got into his car and drove off north onto Hardie Ave SW.
The unidentified suspect driver did not attempt to exchange his contact information or vehicle insurance with
Cherry. Cherry was not injured. Cherry's vehicle had damage to the front end, but it was drivable.
Cherry described the suspect driver as a white male, late 60s in age, about 6'-00" in height, medium build,
short styled gray colored hair, no facial hair, wearing sunglasses, beige colored short sleeve T-shirt, beige
colored shorts, and he spoke with a speech impediment. Cherry stated she would be able to recognize the
suspect if she saw him again.
Cherry described the suspect vehicle as an older 1980s model, 2 door sedan, light tan in color, wheels with no
rims, and the last three characters of its Washington state license plate were 312.
The cameras posted outside the Feast Buffet are not operational and would not have been recording at the
time of the collision. The identity of the suspect for this hit and run collision is unknown.
