Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions
of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an
exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#309 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and
sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform clearly identifies me as a Police
Officer.
Case Number 26-3619
On 05/10/2026 at approximately 2230 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury collision at Benson Dr S and S 21
st St,within the City of Renton, King County,Washington.
I identified unit 1 in this collision as a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz (WA/LIC: D65317H VIN#5NTJBDDE1SH147964)
which was being driven by Teresa M Ayoma (DOB 12/17/1998). Unit 1 sustained minor damage to the rear
passenger side and was able to leave under its own power.
I identified unit 2 as a 2018 Toyota Prius (MT/LIC: 28ABO85 VIN#JTDKARFU6J3064774)which was being driven
by Dakota L Johnson (DOB 08/06/1996). Unit 2 sustained minor damage to the driver's side. Unit 2 was able to
leave under its own power.
Both parties explained the same story. Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Benson Dr S approaching S
21st St. Unit 1 was in the left hand lane and unit 2 was in the right. Unit 1 made a sudden right hand turn from
the left lane which caused the minor collision.This collision caused no injuries.
The proximate cause of this collision was unit 1 making an improper turn.
