On May 13, 2026, at 1502 hours dispatch requested that I contact a victim of a recent hit and run that
occurred near the 2300 block of East Valley Rd, in the city of Renton, county of King, and state of Washington.
The reporting party later identified as Rosa Sandoval, stated she was rear-ended by a small passenger vehicle
which then fled the scene after she attempted to contact police.
Upon my arrival I met Rosa in the parking lot of RCF Crossfit and observed that her vehicle had damage to her
rear bumper. Her vehicle was identified as a black Ford Fusion bearing Washington plates CSD7797. Rosa
described the other involved driver as a white male with scruffy hair.After she was impacted,the driver of
unit 1 went to the adjacent parking lot where the driver exited his vehicle and began to yell at obscenities. She
became worried about his behavior and therefore decided to step back inside her vehicle. She then called 911
and waited until police personnel arrived. While she waited,the other driver proceeded to exit the parking lot
and fled southbound from the location on East Valley Rd.
After speaking with Rosa, I observed several cameras the faced the roadway from the RCF CrossFit gym. I
reviewed the video footage and determined that unit 1 was a gold Toyota Camry but the plate was
unreadable. I provided the owners of those cameras with an Axon link so they could submit the video
recording to Renton Police Evidence.
I did check the building located at 2501 East Valley Rd.They had cameras that would have captured the license
plate to unit 1 but after speaking with management they advised me that the cameras did not reach that far
and would not be able to identify the vehicle based on the video recording.
While I spoke with management, I was told by Rosa that when the incident occurred she looked towards the
building located at 2505 East Valley Rd and noticed a male peering out the front doors. She suggested that the
male possibly witnessed the collision take place and could identify the driver if seen again. I asked
management if they knew who the person was and they said possibly.They told me they would get back to
me. I provide them with my information and case number in case they reach out.
It has now been several days since the collision occurred, and no one has called back.
I have exhausted all possible ways to identify the suspect involved so at this time this case is closed RTF.
