Case Number 26-4043
On 05/26/2026 at approximately 0506 hours, I was dispatched to 816 Dayton Ave NE within the City of
Renton, King County, Washington to a hit and run report by phone. Dispatch relayed over the radio that last
night someone ran into the reporting party's vehicle. Possible suspect information was available.
I called the reporting party who was identified as Gelber Joel Toj Vivar DOB (08/14/1958), and he said the
following: Gelber parked his vehicle identified as a gray 2008 Hyundai Accent WA/LIC BKJ2627 VIN#
KMHCM36C68U097970 outside on the street near his home yesterday at approximately 1730 hours after he
got home from work. Gelber returned to his vehicle today at approximately 0500 hours and noticed that there
was damage to his front bumper and his rear bumper. Gelber didn't see or hear anyone crash into his vehicle
as he was asleep when it happened. Gelber's neighbor noticed that Gelber was outside looking at his damaged
vehicle and said that he was going to review their camera video to see if they captured anything and would
call the police if they did. I provided Gelber with the case number and asked him to call back if the camera
captured anything. Due to Gelber being asleep and not seeing a vehicle crashing into his car he is unable to
recognize the suspect if they were seen again. No suspect information is available.
