SUBJECT: "On Hold" Notice
EVCS Best Western Plus Renton Inn / LUA26-000001
Dear Mr. Cardoza,
The Planning Division of the City of Renton accepted the above master application for review on December
31, 2025. On February 5, 2026, during our review, staff determined that additional information was
necessary in order to proceed.
The following information will need to be submitted before May 6, 2026 so that we may continue the review
of the above subject application:
Planning
1. Please revise the property owner’s name on the first page (CS-1) of
the P_Final_Construction_Drawings_EVCS_Best_Western_Renton file.
2. Confirm whether all current EVs on the U.S. market will be able to use the proposed chargers, or if
they will be limited to specific makes and models.
3. Provide a full parking analysis showing all parking stalls on the project site. The revised site plan
should include the following: location and dimensions of existing and proposed structures; parking
and loading areas; driveways; existing trees on and abutting the site; existing or proposed fencing or
retaining walls; freestanding signs; easements; refuse and recycling areas; freestanding liquid
fixtures; utility junction boxes; public utility transformers; storage areas; buffer areas; open spaces;
and landscaped areas (including proposed screening for the EV chargers).
4. Update the landscape plan to include native plant species. Please provide an alternative for Nandina
domestica and minimize the use of Thuja occidentalis to ensure healthy growth. Hedge spacing
should be at least 2–3 feet apart for dense hedges.

At this time, your project has been placed “on hold” pending receipt of the requested information. The
maximum time for resubmittal shall be within ninety (90) days of this notice.
