Change Request
CR-019 April 23, 2026
Job Name: Legacy Square Phase 2 Job Number: AWA25SP016
Subject: Revised F7 Light Fixture Date Initiated: 2026-04-23
This change request is submitted, as required, for your review and approval.
Amount: $5,775.85
Time Extension Requested:
Reference: RFI 63
Scope Description: Per RFI 63, the specified F7 light fixture cannot meet the design intent to be installed as a
continuous run and would require extensive routing of the glulam beam to hide the exposed waterproof connectors. In
addition to the routing, drilling would be required for the driver cable runs. Coordinating with City of Renton & Mithun,
the team reviewed multiple options including maximizing the lengths of the F7 fixture and installing thicker wood trim
pieces, however settled on installing the Luminii Optic Arts LLRGBWX18 tape light fixture. This option will provide a
continuous light fixture run, remove the need to route the beam, and minimize the drilling of the beam to two locations.
Light fixture is priced to utilize the drivers and decoders that are currently onsite.

LLRGBX18 Pixel SPI is a small profile and energy efficient pixel color-changing light strip. It is
easily installed directly on to the mounting surface with double sided tape or within discrete
mounting extrusions.
LLRGBX18 is a smart pixel controlled LED with a microcontroller every six LEDs resulting in a
uniquely controlled pixel every 4”. This advanced design allows for mind blowing animations
such as cascading and chasing effects at the granular level.
Infinite RGB lighting possibilities are now achievable with ease when using the LineLED RGB X18
with SPI protocol pixel control.
Mounting
LLED strip is equipped with 3M™ adhesive
transfer tape (9472LE).
Applications
Indoor only - millwork, cove, architectural reveals,
undercabinet, display case, handrail, accent
lighting.

Question:
Per the current approved submittals, the Luminii F7 light fixtures cannot be installed in a continuous run due to how the drivers
are connected to the light fixture.
When the light fixtures are laid out following the pixel direction (see attached markup), there will need to be a gap in the middle
of each run for the cable running to the driver.
In addition, the cabling for the drivers will be exposed and may potentially conflict with the Bi-folding doors.
Suggestion:
Please confirm if the layout of the f7 light fixture is acceptable. If this option is chosen, please advise on the conflict between the
driver cables and the bi-folding door.
If a continuous light fixture is required, please advise on one that can be installed continuously at the glulam columns and beam.
Andersen / Seatac suggest a tape light type light fixture (see attached product data). Note: Per the manufacturer, the maximum
length on a single driver is 20ft, however the tape light can be feed from the top and bottom to avoid any gaps in the
middle. The dimensions of the opening are 21’-2” H by 36-5” W. Also, there will need to be 2 holes drilled in the beam
as shown in the updated attachment
Andersen requested pricing information if new light is to be ordered.
