DLState DLExp Address Primary Phone&Type AdditionalContact Number&Type Additional Contact Number&Type Race Sex DOB- Height Weight Even Hair Collision 2026-00004151 Paqe 2 OF 6 Case Number 2026-00004151 Officer Narrative Narrative ASSIGNMENT/ARRIVAL On 05/29/2026 at approximately 1539 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of SW Sunset Boulevard and Rainier Avenue S in the city of Renton, King County, Washington. I arrived at approximately 1541 hours. UNIT 1: NISSAN ROGUE Upon arrival I observed a gray 2020 Nissan Rogue (WA/CMC8951, Unit 1) stopped in the intersection blocking the northbound lanes of Rainier Avenue S in the laned number two turn Lane from eastbound SW Sunset Boulevard to northbound Rainier Avenue S. Unit 1's front bumper was ripped from the vehicle. Unit 1 had not been moved from its point of rest. UNIT 2: BLUEBIRD SCHOOL BUS I observed a yellow 2018 Bluebird Renton School District school bus (WA Exempt B8367C, Unit 2) stopped facing north along the east curb of Rainier Avenue S north of SW Sunset Boulevard. Unit 2 had minor damage (paint transfer and scratches)just before the rear axle on the driver side. Unit 2 had been moved from its point of rest prior to my arrival. DRIVER 1: HUSSEIN AHMED M. I contacted Ahmed M. Hussein (DOB: 02/02/1976) near Unit 1. 1 positively identified him by his valid Washington Driver License and established him as the uninjured driver of Unit 1 by his admission. Gulled (DOB: 01/01/1944)was the uninjured front passenger of Unit 1. DRIVER 2: MORRIS CHRISTOPHER W I contacted Christopher W. Morris (DOB: 03/17/1960) in the driver seat of Unit 2. 1 positively identified Morris by his valid Washington Driver License and established him as the uninjured driver of Unit 2 by his admission. STATEMENT: DRIVER 1 1 spoke with Hussein about the collision. The following is a summary of our conversation: Hussein drove Unit 1 east on SW Sunset Boulevard toward Rainier Avenue S in the number 4 (closest to center) lane. Hussein intended to turn left(north) onto Rainier Avenue S. Unit 2 was next to Unit 1 in the number three lane, also waiting to turn. As both vehicles made the left turn, Unit 2's driver side collided with Unit 1's passenger side. This concluded my conversation with Hussein. STATEMENT: DRIVER 2 1 spoke with Morris about the collision.The following is a summary of our conversation: Morris drove Unit 2 east on SW Sunset Boulevard toward Rainier Avenue S in the number 3 lane. Morris intended to turn left(north) onto Rainier Avenue S. As Morris made the left turn, following the painted lane markers for both turn lanes, he looked in his driver-side mirror and saw Unit 1's front end collided with Unit 2's driver side. This concluded my conversation with Morris. PROXIMATE CAUSE The proximate cause of the collision was determined by Unit 1's point of rest, damage to both vehicles, and statements from both drivers. Hussein's action was the proximate cause of the accident, namely his violation of RCW 46.61.140(1). Hussein failed to drive his vehicle as nearly as practicable entirely within a single Lane and moved his vehicle from such lane without first ascertaining if the movement can be made with safety. Hussein stated he began his left turn in the number 4 lane, but Unit 1's point of rest was in the marked, painted number 3 turn lane. This showed Hussein left the single lane delineated for his vehicle's travel. CITATION I authored Hussein a citation (#6A0174099)for a violation of RCW 46.61.140(1) and filed it with the Renton Municipal Court. DISPOSITION This concluded my involvement in this case.
