Auburn, WA 98002 Phone: 253-839-3500 Ferguson Waterworks – Rapid Ride Line Bus Submittal Information - 25- 1517894 - Kent OWS 2-1 & 2-2. Renton, WA Regarding the Renton OWS 1-1: The coalescing media is 2’ long. There should be at least 6” on either end for removal and cleaning. With the dimension shown on the contract documents the vault does not have enough length to house the coalescing media. We do have a 4’x8’ and 4’x12’ form which will both house the coalescing media and likely one or both are also suitable for the baffle spacing required. See attached updated drawing. See attached LW Hatch H-30 specifications that would be utilized to meet the Loading Criteria LOAD LEVEL 6. See structural notes as called out on the Renton OWS 1-1 where applicable. The structural notes called out on 1DRD.06 are outdated, and not from the Auburn, WA plant. However,we have updated the structural notes on the Renton OWS 1-1 drawing where applicable. See attached Standard design values. Kent, WA Regarding the Kent OWS 2-1 & 2-2, a vault with 2’3” width and 6” walls is 1’3” wide inside. That would only house (1) coalescing pack and not meet the 27GPM flow rate. The 4’ x 6’ vault was submitted as the closest size available that would meet the flow rate. If this size can be utilized, the following criteria would be updated/correspond as with the Renton vault. See attached LW Hatch H-30 specifications that would be utilized to meet the Loading Criteria LOAD LEVEL 6. See structural notes as called out on the Renton OWS 1-1 where applicable. The structural notes called out on 2DRD.08 are outdated, and not from the Auburn, WA plant. However, we have updated the structural notes on the Renton OWS 1-1 drawing where applicable and can make the same changes on the Kent OWS 2-1 & 2-2 drawings. See attached Standard design values. Oldcastle does have staff that would like to work with the design engineer to come up with a vault configuration that is suitable. The locking support arm holds the doors open automatically. We use 3/8” neoprene to achieve a weather-tight seal. All hardware used on our hatches is stainless steel, 300 series, except the 1 ½” aluminum drain coupling and the removable handle used for access into the hatch. All LW HATCHES are provided with a self- latching stainless steel slam lock and with a recessed padlock hasp so they can be locked with a padlock. All type “HHS” and type “HHD” doors are designed for use in street locations where subjected to higher density traffic. May be cast in an 8” slab. Door leaf shall be 3/8” aluminum diamond plate with support beams on the underneath side that will transfer the load bearing to the extruded aluminum channel frame that has a 1” anchor flange around the perimeter, and is equipped to receive a 3/8” round neoprene gasket for a weather tight seal and has the capability to achieve an air tight or odor tight seal. A 1 ½” aluminum drain coupling is integrated into the frame work for an appropriate water drainage. Compression springs are enclosed in telescopic stainless steel tubes which makes the opening of the hatch cover easy, smooth and controlled through both opening and closing. When the door leaf is opened in a vertical position it will automatically lock into place with a hold open arm that has a release handle. The hold open arm has a stainless steel pin attached so that it maybe inserted through the hold open arm to act as a secondary safety insurance. The door is equipped with heavy stainless steel hinges. The door latches shut with a stainless steel snap lock. A removable turn handle is provided for access into the hatch cover and a threaded cover plug for when it is not in use. Hardware used on all hatch covers is stainless steel, 300 series.H-30 Doors are also to be bolted down to the frame to reduce both noise and impact. Factory finish is a mill finish.
