Parks Parcel No. 2924059005) DATE OF EXPIRATION: September 30, 2026 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting a Tier I Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for the placement of two (2) 12 foot by 60 foot (12’x60’) trailers, one (1) 10 foot by 50 foot (10’x50’) trailer, a 12 foot by 8 foot (12’x8’) storage POD, a 10 foot by 9 foot (10’x9’) restroom trailer, and a generator on King County Parks property between the Eastrail Corridor and the Seahawks parking lot. The proposed trailers would accommodate NFL Films staff present during Seahawks training camp and filming for the television series Hard Knocks. The project site is an unused dirt and/or gravel clearing that would be secured with temporary fencing for site security. Water lines are located at the southwest corner of the site. According to King County Special Use Permit SUPS26-0045, the proposed trailers are authorized to remain in place through the end of September 2026. The Temporary Use Permit is hereby Approved with Conditions* and subject to the following condition: 1. The proposed POD, trailers, restroom, and generator shall maintain a minimum seven and one- half-foot (7.5’) setback from any water main, unless it can be demonstrated that the facilities mentioned above can be relocated within one hour of notice. The approval body may modify his decision if material evidence not readily discoverable prior to the original decision is found or if he finds there was misrepresentation or fact. After review of the Reconsideration request, if the approval body finds sufficient evidence to amend the original decision, there will be no further extension of the appeal period. Any person wishing to take further action must file a formal appeal within the 14-day appeal time frame. APPEALS: Appeals of permit issuance must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on June 19, 2026. Appeals must be submitted electronically to the City Clerk at cityclerk@rentonwa.gov or delivered to City Hall 1st floor Lobby Hub Monday through Friday. The appeal fee, normally due at the time an appeal is submitted, will be collected at a future date if your appeal is submitted electronically. The appeal submitted in person may be paid on the first floor in our Finance Department. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 4-8-110 and additional information regarding the appeal process may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office, cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. EXPIRATION: The Temporary Use Permit is valid through September 30, 2026.
