Unless otherwise noted, the following happened within the City Limits of Renton, County of
King, State of Washington.
On 05/10/26 at approximately 1941 hours I witnessed a hit and run collision at S 3rd St anc Main
Ave S. I was on S 3rd St facing east at the traffic light at Main Ave S. Unit#1 and Unit#2 were
turning right(east) onto Houser Way S. Unit#1 was in lane 2 and Unit#2 was in lane 1.
As they turned Unit#1 clipped the front driver side of Unit#2. 1 heard a squeal and was unsure if
they actually collided. Unit#1 continued driving on Houser Way and did not stop. Unit#2
stopped briefly and then drove toward 200 Mill Ave S. I caught up to Unit#2 and asked the driver
if Unit#1 just hit him. He said yes. Other officers attempted to locate Unit#1 but were
unsuccessful. I never saw the license plate or the driver of Unit#1 and neither did the driver of
Unit#2.
The driver of Unit#2 was uninjured and wanted to be a victim of hit and run. If the driver of 1 he
gray pick up can be identified there is probable cause for RCW 46.52.020 Duty on striking
attended car or other property for striking Unit#2 and then leaving without exchanging
information.
