SUBJECT: Administrative Report
Please join us at the Renton Farmers Market tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26th, at
Piazza Park in downtown Renton as we celebrate Kids’ Day. In addition to all the
flowers and farm fresh produce, we have an abundance of activities planned
especially for kids. Starting at 3:30 p.m., we will feature entertainment by kids at
our Kid’s Talent Showcase. Chef Maryam from Tastefully Balanced joins us for a
cooking demonstration at 4:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., KCLS presents live entertainment
from Elephant Umbrella. During market hours, we welcome members of the
Washington Dairy Council, including their mascot Buttercup! June 26th also marks
the beginning of the 8‐week Kids’ Passport Program, with fun activities and great
prizes from Wizards of the Coast.
Join us this and every Tuesday at the Renton Farmers Market from 3:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m. through September 25th in beautiful Piazza Park, located in Downtown
Renton at the corner of South 3rd Street and Burnett Avenue South. Each week, in
addition to market fare, shoppers will enjoy live music, tips from Master Gardeners,
cooking demonstrations, and children’s activities. New this season, Logan Avenue
South closes between Piazza and Gateway Parks, making that crossing much safer to
get to food trucks, children’s activities, special events, and live music from buskers at
Market West! We are also proud to expand the Fresh Bucks incentive program and
offer an unlimited dollar‐for‐dollar match for fresh produce for shoppers who
receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.
